Do you remember the April showers
That fell sweetly upon your face?
The beads of springtime waters
Ran all over the beautiful place.

As you breathed in you felt like soaring into the skies
On purest of feelings that you felt inside that blossomed
Inside your sweet bosom, white as the tender lilies.

This is what love felt like, do you remember?

Do you remember the laughter and the joy
that came from your voice, like a sweet song?
As I chased you across the green meadows
You smiled a smile like you smiled all life along

You let me catch you like a butterfly in a net
I looked inside your eyes, saw your happiness
And gave you a kiss that I hoped you’d never forget

This is the love I gave, do you remember?

When I was with you, I was never alone.
Forgive me for being bold, you felt the same,
Did you not? That our feelings were mutual.
My heart was yours and yours alone to claim

I was wild, and you tamed me like a circus lion.
You showed me a new way of seeing the world;
You gave me the key into your heart’s Zion.

This is the mark of your love on my life – do you remember?

“You’ll never be alone again”, you used to whisper into my heart
“Together, forward, always”, you said as you lead me away
The world wouldn’t stop swaying, blowing my mind apart
I couldn’t believe the wonderful power of love you gave away

Then, suddenly you faded away into the black nothingness
I called out…

I was alone, but your words echoed in my heart
I refused to believe that you were gone
Then suddenly I saw you, crying and breaking apart
In the heavenly spotlight, the angelic one

I walked to you softly and I picked up and held you tight
Your eyes were empty, like the eyes confused child peering up to a stranger
As if your memory had faded away into the wind and sunlight

But one thing remained: the love of God.
And with that I took your hand and took you to my home.
I whispered; “do you remember love?” with a smile
You smiled, and simply nodded.

Bunnyrabbitsex is VERY pleased to announce our latest expansion! We’re expanding our love AGAIN! Don’t tell us we don’t love you ;P.

We’ve been testing things around with our Twitter account, and decided it is time for some character building enhancements!! And by character, we mean your story’s character! We’ve also included some stuff to keep your head out of the clouds, or in them, depending on where your scene is set ;).

We’re proud to introduce our brand spanking new workshop section, which currently has three awesome workshops! These are free for members, and will be an awesome help for building your stories, characters, and settings.

The available workshops include:
Character Interviews
Costume Rehearsal
Scenery Construction

The Character Interviews section will have a new question posted every Monday and Thursday for you to answer. You can post your answer for each character of your story, and even come back when you have a new one. This will help you get to know your character and maybe even help make your story more detailed.

The Costume Rehearsal section will allow you to become your character and practice interacting with other peoples characters. Just start a topic or reply to one as your character (be sure to always post the story and your characters name before replying (use the template inside the post)).

The Scenery Construction section is for constructing and detailing scenery. Be it with real photographs, maps, sketches, or words, getting the visualization of places across can sometimes be hard! This section will allow you to practice honing in on those skills!

Each section uses a new template for posting, however, these templates are inside posts, not the titles (except for Scenery Construction which uses the template in the title).

We hope you have fun in these awesome new sections!

BunnyRabbitSex is VERY pleased to introduce our next competition: “on the run!”

For this competition contestants are challenged to find a reason they would be on the run, be it from becoming famous or infamous! While these MUST be realistic to you and your world/personality it can be that you’re on the run for something someone else did, or you’re on the run with them.

For example, I’m under constant attack from rumours. No joke, there’s at least 6 untrue rumours about me circulating the internet (yet I never change my name, because I have nothing to fear from words) and when I was in school there was at least 3, including one that I dated a boy who had a hit list (I didnt date him, I had dinner with his family one day, months and months before he had a hit list). What if some idiot started one that was SERIOUS? What if they said I planned to do something HORRIBLE that would be a threat to national security (that was plausible)? I’d have to run or surrender. For this we have to go with the “run” option.

Now, that example would be realistic to ME, but you might have a different one. Think of a trait or characteristic you have or something similar, and work with it. Make it realistic in the sense that it COULD happen, and is at least a little likely to happen. Like mine is realistic, especially since I often have people in higher places jealous of me because I’m friends with “the little people” or I get close to their “right hand people” or what ever.

Requirements to Enter

  • BunnyRabbitSex member for 3 or more days.
  • Have shared at least 3 of your own original works.
  • Have posted an introduction topic.
  • Have requested a badge.

How to Enter
To enter the competition you have to write on a postcard and post it IN AN ENVELOPE to the below address. On the post card you must have:

  • On the top left corner on the back: “BunnyRabbitSex.com “On The Run” Competition”. Failure to do this will result in the postcard being disqualified. The envelope must also have this in the same place.
  • A date. It can be past, present, or future. Can be incorporated in the piece or separate.
  • Your username. You can use it to sign off, or sign off with something like “Love, Jade (aka Bunny)”.

Information on Props
Get CREATIVE. You can send me anything that’s not a box, and isnt powder/suspicious. You must have 1 postcards for every 1 non post card you send (that comes without a postcard): so if you send a card, SHORT (I mean short) letter, or even just something freaky like a pressed flower in an envelope, you need to have 1 other postcard sent separately later. If you’re sending stuff WITH the post card it must fit in, like if you were sending a letter, say in the letter that you’re hiding the postcard or that you’re saving on postage, for example. Don’t abuse the privilege of having an envelope with the postcard – the envelope doesnt count it’s just there so I’m not arrested!

Postal Address
Jade Elizabeth
PO BOX 681
Stockbridge, GA 30281

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE POST CARD YOU MUST POST IT IN AN ENVELOPE!!

The object is: you’re writing to who ever it is you need to contact to let them know you’re okay/what ever. Don’t have someone? Pretend someone from your past/future is there. You can include “the truth” or “the reason” you’re running, anything you want to!

For all those novelists (and anyone else) who would like to, you can include multiple postcards. Send them at different dates, however, and be sure they have different dates. I don’t want 6 postcards that look like you couldnt fit the whole story on just one. They need to be individual postcards, with a clear lapse in time since the last was written and sent separately (not all on the one day).

Submissions will be open between Monday 10th of August and October 31st.

The prize is also pending: probably wont be physical/tangible.

I am the actor on a stage
I am the lover in a dream
I am the warrior in the fields
I saw you dancing through the streets

I liked you from the first time
I loved you ever after
I saw you dancing through my dreams
Would you come and dance with me?

We were diving into dreams
We were dancing through the streets
We were running through green fields

I was the actor on a stage
I was your lover in my dreams
I fought for you through fields
What have you done to me?

He sits comfortably, legs stretched out before him.

His eyes pass over her, thoughts drifting idly around his mind regarding the shapeliness of her rear and the way she sways her hips just so. It is as if there is just the two of them in the world, nothing else enters the sphere of the focus between them.

He watches her move, the way her muscles expand and contract as she moves her legs beneath a long black skirt. He watches the way she swings her arms, almost playfully like a child on the way to school.

His gaze drifts over her chest and the sensual curve of her neck, taking in the silver earrings that glitter in the morning son an the way she ties her long auburn hair back, so it falls to her waist. He takes in the fullness of her lips and the carefully applied make-up, the over her cute button nose to her piercing pale blue eyes.

He is captivated by those eyes. Like miniature glaciers holding barely contained power, he feels himself almost falling into those eyes.

As a breeze stirs he busy avenue she flicks a loose strand of hair from her face, the movement emphasising the curves of her body and the sensual nature she projects. He smiles in response to the smile she gives, the kind of smile that lights up the face and brightens the day.

He gently caresses the trigger of his rifle, watching the bullet take her just below the right eye. Calmly he exhales, taking his eye from the scope and gently stretching muscles unused in many hours.

Okay so this all in poetry form (so the lines might be a bit wonky), took me three years to write and it’s only the first half of the novel. BTW It has parts instead of chapters. So here ya go:

1

Dark
Damp
Tired
I lay
There
The window
Half open

Cold air
Slipped through
And the feeling
Wasn’t there
But it’s okay
Not much
For me
To feel
Anyway

I closed
My eyes
Turned over
And listened
To the
Silence

2

Mom’s supposed to be coming
Home. Two hours left.
Food in the microwave
She’ll enjoy

So glad she
Let me help
With the cooking
Pauses. Pauses
One hour left

Pauses
Pauses. Pauses
And more pauses
The door opens
Footsteps. Keys scatter
Across the side table in the hall

More footsteps
Pauses. Microwave.
Beeps and warms up
Her food. Pauses
More footsteps. My
Door opens. She sticks
Her head in. She says
“Adam”
I voice my wakefulness

The door closes
I turn around
She’s on a chair
She says
“So babe how
Was your day?”

I say
“It was alright
Quiet but okay
How was yours?”

She says
“Same as always
Tiring, irritating, same
Co-worker hitting on
Me

I say
“Maybe I should
Straighten him out
For you. I may be gay
But that doesn’t
Mean some low life
Gets to take the only
Woman I get to have”

She smiles

“I know hun
But it’s okay
I handle it
Pretty well”

3

In the kitchen

She ate

And she said

“Thanks for the food baby
It’s really good”

I smiled
“You’re welcome”

She continued
To smile
“I’m not really
Sure what
I’d do without you
If you weren’t my son
I’d marry you”

I laughed
“I know ma
I know”

My back against the counter
I ask
“Want to go to a
Movie?”

Looking up from her food
She said
“Yeah, why not
What movie do you want
To see?”

Excited
Jumpy
Feeling of laughter
Insane corners
Feet so high

I say
“I don’t know
A comedy
Drama
Horror
Tragedy”

She said
“Sadistic aren’t we?”

I said
“Yes,
And you love
Me anyway”

She smiled
“Always
Drama seems good”

“Drama
It is”

The rain started
To fall

On our way
Out

Cars and houses
Passed us by

We talked
As she drove

The rain began
To fall harder

Windshield wipers
Crashing back and forth

Unknown headlights
Faded our way

No time for
Her to veer

To the left

On coming truck
And the car fuse together

Eyes are wide
Rain continues
To fall

She has expired
No time
Fore second thoughts
I continue to exist
And the feelings
In my veins
Are gone.

Walk home
Edge of
A cliff
Is
Better

4

Darkness
I
Burn
My
Veins
Peel
Inside

I
Bleed
The
Black
Liquid

And
I
Let
It
Take
Over

I’m
In
My
Box
Burned
Through
Holes
Become
My
Sanity

I
Painted
The
Walls
The
Black
Liquid
Told
Me
To

In
The
Burned
Holes
My
Sanity
Stays

In
The
House
Insanity
Is
The
Black
Masturbation
Is
Now
Always

Recently I was charged with the job of growing a plumbers crack and fixing the drain in my bathroom. Granted, it’s my fault it was clogged, I wasn’t ready to start exposing my backside to who ever happened to be in the area. I’ve had one problem stopping me. I cannot for the life of me get the bath plug out so I can unclog the drain or stuff dynamite in there (preferring the latter).

Introducing the evil bath plug!

See, I’ve had this job for three months. Probably longer if I’m honest, and the longer I took the worse it got until cleaning my bath literally would take hours because the water wouldn’t drain. It got to the point where I was begging for a plumber. I’ve Googled and Googled, but not once found a solution. I’ve seen them all, and this is what I’ve tried:

  • Drano. Three times. Last try was about a month ago. It doesn’t really make it into the drain though, so what good is it? I mean it’s one thing to give a child medicine, but you cant expect it to work if they just get their lips wet instead of drinking the stuff now can you?
  • Unscrewing the plug. Several times, do you know how many times the plug can turn either way? It’s about as much fun as counting licks of a tootsie pop.
  • Unscrewing the plug when the plug is closed. I tried this once, in desperation, terrified that I would break something. I didn’t break something, and the plug didn’t give in to my demands either!
  • Pulling the plug up. Okay, I’d tried this in the past, and so had my step father, but I thought I’d try it again tonight hoping for some form of “EUREKA!” moment where I’d feel accomplished and stupid at the same time. It didn’t happen, but I did feel stupid.
  • Using “needle nosed pliers” to hold the “bolt” or what ever in the middle so I could turn the plug and have the thing magically come out. First off, to the designer of this plug or which ever plug uses this method: Fuck you.
  • Unscrewing the “handle” part. Okay, this one made me feel really retarded – because the handle part isn’t a screw. But I had to at least try it right?

Needless to say I gave up. I was sitting on the bathroom floor frustrated, angry, and wanting to strangle who ever thought we needed our plugs screwed in (probably an expensive plumber). I wanted to go buy a gun and find a plumber and force him to do it while lecturing him about why people shouldn’t lose plugs and therefore don’t need them screwed onto the bath. That’s about the time I decided to get a torch (flashlight for you northern hemisphere folks) and take a look.

There was what looked like cotton all through the drain, I couldn’t see the plug parts. The water from 4 hours ago hadn’t drained fully so I couldn’t move the torch lower to look closer (still 3 inches). I went to get a piece of metal to push the stuff out of the way with.

Introducing the heroic metal coat hanger!

I got me a coat hanger! Okay it was a really old one, very thin, and hooked a little on both ends (it had been straightened out ages ago for something). I stuck it in, and then freaked out and tried to pull it out. It was STUCK!! I thought it could be stuck on the part I wanted to see, and I was worried I’d break it. Then, it started to come loose, the hook was pulling what looked like a hair tie out! Suddenly the drain made a HUGE growling sound and I realized the water was DRAINING!! I kept pulling. I went back for more with the sound of victory filling my ears!!

It wasn’t a hair tie. I pulled enough hair out of that drain to make a wig, or to store away for an emergency (like if I accidentally Nair my head).

And that’s how I beat the system.
Now stop trying to get the damn plug up and go get you an old coat hanger or other piece of metal!

THIS is a competition hint! In order to prepare you for the next competition you have been given this hint, or rather, this to think about:

  • If you were ever to get into any legal trouble that would end in your arrest or jailing, or even death (hell, I don’t know where you live), what would it be?
  • If you were ever to become famous (or infamous) what would it be for and why?
  • If you were on the run where would you run to?
  • If you were on the run, who would you contact to say you were okay or to tell the real story to?

Now, if you want to practice an “on the run” sort of piece, please do NOT put why you’re on the run. If you do, you will not be allowed to use that for the competition.

So, I took a photo of myself. Which is above. Yay me? I decided I wanted to mess with it and see what fun Photoshop could bring me if I were lazy. I have CS2, but even Photoshop 7 has filters if I recall correctly.

Below are 9 easy, simple, click of the button tricks anyone can do. It doesnt matter if you’ve never seen Photoshop before. First open your photo/image in Photoshop. There’s a menu on the top like all other applications (the file, edit, etc menu) and it has a tab called “filter”. This is where the magic happens.

Click Filter > Artistic > Pick one. Play around until you find something you like, or want to mess with. You will need to “okay” each change before adding another filter. If you cannot see your work, there’s a view dropdown to the left.

There are some from the other categories under the Filter tab other than “artistic”, but generally I click on the artistic one and then play with all of them. These are just examples of what you can do to have some fun with them.

Each effect brings a different mood to the piece/photo, so it’s good to play around until you have what you want. There are HEAPS of other ones in Photoshop, but these are some of the ones I played with.

Have fun and good luck!

This one is Film Grain. I think I may have used Defuse Glow as well. Can’t remember. Film grain and Poster Edges are my fav filters.

Poster edges, played around with the values till they were just right!

This is using the Cut Out filter. I kinda like this because it looks really cool, and I wouldnt mind drawing it either.

This is using Neon Glow and Sumi-e. I really liked the outcome, it’s sort of dark and emo.

This is using Neon Glow in #c49400 (The AC’s Gold). If you made it another colour, or something, you could make this really ghostlike. If you left it like this you could make it like a fairy or angel I suppose.

This one’s using Defuse Glow and Watercolour I believe. I like it because it ads texture, and sort of mutes high and low contrasts (makes them seem less harsh).

This is using Neon Glow in #c49400 (The AC’s Gold) and Poster Edges! I’d hang it on my wall just because it looks cool, not because it’s me!

I THINK this is using Defuse Glow, Sumi-e, and Watercolour. I really like the “stippling” effect it gives (the dotty look), and the way it’s got some high contrasts, and is black and white.

I think this one is using Defuse Glow, Film Grain, and Graphic Pen. I’m not too sure, but I like it!
